The first move is in. From Club release:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 13, 2020) – Nashville Soccer Club announced today it has traded a 2021 international spot to Atlanta United FC for $175k in General Allocation Money. The trade occurred during the MLS Half-Day Trade Window in which, following a 45-day roster freeze, Major League Soccer clubs had the ability to trade and make transactions.
Nashville survived 2020 using only four international slots (on Jhonder Cádiz, Randall Leal, Hany Mukhtar, and Miguel Nazarit), and this is the second of eight 2021 slots traded away (the other was part of a deal with New York Red Bull’s for Alex Muyl during the season).
There’s still flexibility with a couple unused – for Nashville to sign international players or to use as trade assets.
