We’re now in the thick of silly season. After yesterday’s half-day trade window (in which NSC executed one trade, involving zero players), the next milestone is tomorrow afternoon’s Austin FC Expansion Draft.
The list of players eligible for selection by Claudio Reyna, Josh Wolff, and the rest of the staff in Austin is now available. Here are Nashville’s options:
- Accam, David
- Anibaba, Jalil
- Badji, Dominique
- Beckeles, Brayan
- Cochran, CJ
- Danladi, Abu
- Dieterich, Tanner
- Haakenson, Luke
- LaGrassa, Matt
- Lancaster, Cameron
- Miller, Eric
- Nazarit, Miguel
- Panicco, Elliot
- Scott, Brady
- Tribbett, Ken
- Washington, Taylor
- Winn, Alan
That’s pretty close to what I expected. In fact, exactly what I expected. Keep in mind that history shows us a pretty strong likelihood that Reyna and NSC General Manager Mike Jacobs work out a mutually-beneficial deal to either avoid a selection or guide said selection toward a player Nashville won’t be heart-broken to part with.
The rest of the available player pool can be seen at the link (more analysis coming in these parts shortly). The Draft takes place via conference call tomorrow, with the specific time not publicly revealed by the league (a very weird choice).
