NASHVILLE (May 1, 2020) – Nashville Soccer Club announced today that the club will be hosting an eSports FIFA 20 tournament on Thursday, May 7 as part of MLS Unites, a league-wide initiative designed to educate communities, entertain fans and elevate heroic efforts taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fans will have the opportunity to compete against each other in EA SPORTS™ FIFA 20 for the chance to become the ultimate NSC eCup Champion.
The tournament, which is presented by Hyundai, will be played on Xbox One with the NSC eCup champion taking home an away replica jersey and two match tickets with an on-field experience when the team returns to action. The second-place player will win two match tickets and the on-field experience as well while the third-place participant will receive a hat and a scarf.
The tournament, which is free of cost, will be capped at the first 64 participants who register here. The complete list of tournament rules can be found below:
• Match must be a Kick-Off Match
• Any available default team in EA SPORTS™ FIFA 20 is usable for tournament play
• No custom teams
• Standard settings
• No legacy defending
• No custom formations
• 12-minute games (six-minute halves)
• Game speed: Normal
• Difficulty: Legendary
• Injuries: Off
• All matches will be 1v1
• Single game elimination
• Competitors must be 18 years of age or older
