The USL’s playoff schedule is taking shape, and with that comes Nashville SC’s details. From Club release:
NASHVILLE (Oct. 15, 2019) – As a result of Nashville Soccer Club’s 2-0 win over North Carolina FC on Oct. 12, the club will host at least one home playoff match at First Tennessee Park. The first home playoff match in club history will be played on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. CT. Tickets are available for purchase here.
Nashville SC Season Ticket Membership includes a ticket to this Conference Quarterfinal at First Tennessee Park. Season Ticket members will be able to access their tickets in their Account Manager prior to the match.
Should Nashville SC advance past the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, the club would host the Eastern Conference Semifinals on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. CT.
Nashville SC is currently second in the Eastern Conference rankings, just one point behind Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC. A win in their final match of the regular season against Atlanta United 2 on Saturday, Oct. 19, could clinch the East’s number one seed if Pittsburgh fails to seal a victory on Sunday, Oct. 20.
Following the conclusion of the USL Championship Playoffs Play-In Round on Wednesday Oct. 23, Nashville SC will find out its opponent for the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals. Following the Conference Quarterfinals and Semifinals the 2019 USL Championship Playoffs will operate on a fixed bracket with no re-seeding.
Every game of the postseason prior to the 2019 USL Championship Final will air on MyTV30 and on ESPN+, while the Final will air on ESPN2 and on the ESPN app.
Nashville SC’s USL Championship Playoffs Schedule:
- Eastern Conference Quarterfinals (vs. higher or lower seed) – Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. CT at First Tennessee Park
- Eastern Conference Semifinals* – Saturday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. CT at First Tennessee Park
- Eastern Conference Final* – Nov. 8-10
- 2019 USL Championship Final* – Sunday, Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. CT
*if Nashville SC were to advance
Even after settling final seeds this weekend, Nashville SC won’t know its first playoff opponent until next Wednesday, when the 7/10 and 8/9 games will be contested. North Carolina FC and Ottawa Fury FC are battling for the seventh and eighth spots, while there are three teams still alive for the final two playoff positions: Charleston Battery, Birmingham Legion, and Saint Louis FC.
It’s the speculation of this site that any NSC home games will be held on Saturdays at 7 p.m. central, the club’s preferred timeslot, though obviously at this point nothing can be announced since they’ve only clinched homefield advantage through the conference semifinal round.
With the final airing on ESPN2 – almost certainly from Phoenix, Ariz., barring a massive upset in the West – Nashville SC will be playing for the next month for a chance to win a championship, and do so on national television.
