Nashville SC release
It’s not a bad move if the guy’s not going to get minutes for Nashville (15 bench appearances, zero on-field appearances this year), though it does raise at least some questions about centerback depth. With Ahmed Longmire also on loan out West, Nashville’s top three CBs (Walker Zimmerman, Dave Romney, Jack Maher) are supported only by FB/CB Eric Miller and Robert Castellanos, coming of multiple months of recovery for a broken ankle suffered when he was on loan.
If Nashville – as expected – shifts to a four-man backline more frequently with the introduction of US International Shaq Moore to the group, the unit still ends up looking a little on the thin side until we see just how close to full-speed Castellanos is.
