After a goal-scoring outing in a loss to Real Salt Lake, Nashville SC defender Walker Zimmerman has been named to the Week Four MLS Team of the Week.
Zimmerman’s set-piece header drew Nashville SC level midway through the first half. He was also not primarily responsible for either of Real Salt Lake’s goals in a 2-1 win for the home team in Sandy, Utah. Zimmerman took two other shots, both saved by RSL keeper Zac MacMath, completed 72/83 passes, made four clearances and two interceptions, won 1/3 tackles, and recovered eight balls in his own defensive end.
He is the third Team of the Week selections for Nashville so far this season, with midfielder Aníbal Godoy and head coach Gary Smith earning the honor in Week One. Nashville had 16 selections to TOTW last year, including four appearances for Zimmerman.
