In the Major League Soccer system, players who aren’t seeing the pitch are considered especially capable of going on loan. In Nashville, the dedicated players who go on loan are members of an elite squad known as the Boys in Not Gold. These are their stories.

Winger David Accam

On loan to Hammarby IF in Sweden

Accam started as a member of the front two in Hammarby’s 1-1 draw against Östersund in the Swedish Allsvenskan. He picked up a yellow card in first-half stoppage time, and was substituted in the 59th minute.

With the draw, Hammarby sits fifth in the Allsvenskan table – though just two points behind third place.

Defender Tom Judge

On loan to Pittsburgh Riverhounds in USL Championship

Judge once again did not make the matchday lineup as Pittsburgh beat Hartford Athletic 3-1. The Hounds have been playing in a 3-5-2, but have not found room to fit him into the plan just yet, and Judge has yet to make his USL debut.

Defender Miguel Nazarit

On loan to Independiente Santa Fe in Colombia

Nazarit has yet to see the pitch or make the bench in the Liga BetPlay Clausura. That included last night’s 1-0 loss to Atlético Nacionál.

Defender Nick Hinds and goalkeeper Elliot Panicco

On season-long loans to Austin Bold FC in USL Championship. Nashville has right of recall if necessary.

Panicco and Hinds both started in a sloppy 3-0 Bold FC loss to San Antonio FC in USL play. There were 11 yellow cards issued in the game, including to both Boys in Not Gold.

Panicco went the distance and made one save while allowing the three goals. He also punched away one cross and made one clearance, and completed 15/21 passes (in a rare instance of Bold playing out of the back, only 12 of those were longballs). The play on which he was yellow carded led to a penalty kick, the second of the day for SAFC:

Hinds was yellow-carded in the 40th minute and removed from the lineup at halftime. He completed 5/8 passes, won 3/9 duels (1/3 aerial), launched two unsuccessful crosses, and made one tackle.
