After a 2-2 draw against FC Cincinnati in which he provided the assist on Nashville’s opener and scored the game-tying goal on a banger from outside the area, Nashville SC winger Randall Leal has been named to the Major League Soccer Team of the Week.
Leal finished fourth in North American Soccer Reporters Player of the Week voting, with Chicharito Hernández the runaway winner according to NASR – whose votes are then combined with a public poll to determine Player of the Week.
Leal had four shots (all on-target), completed 81.6% of his passes, added four key passes in addition to his assist, made two tackles, and suffered two fouls at the hands of FC Cincinnati.
