From Club release:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Jan. 28, 2021) – Nashville Soccer Club announced today it has loaned midfielder David Accam to Hammarby IF Fotbollförening of Sweden’s First Division Allsvenskan for 12 months with the option to transfer.
Accam, 30, appeared in seven matches for Nashville in the club’s inaugural season in Major League Soccer. Coming on as a sub, Accam scored the winning goal against FC Dallas in the club’s first Major League Soccer victory in franchise history on Aug. 12, 2020.

Unfortunately, health and other circumstances conspired to make his first (and at this point, lookin’ like only) season in Nashville a disappointment. Somewhere he can play with a fresh start is good for the player, and clears roster room for Nashville (which has recruited past/over him anyway).
The “what could have been” will always loom. But it’s the best move for player and club.
