Welcome to Boys in Not Gold. Wonder what Nashville SC’s players on loan (or on national team duty – or new to the squad) are up to? Here’s your regular recap. Now, more regular than usual, back on its typical Tuesday.
Luke Haakenson
On loan with Charlotte Independence in the USL Championship
Haakenson started and played 75 minutes before being subbed out in the 69th in a 3-1 Independence win over Birmingham Legion. Playing as a left winger in an attack-minded 3-4-3, Haakenson did not shoot a single time, but created three chances through his passing, completing 13/16 attempts and 1/3 crosses. He won 3/9 duels (1/5 aerial), and made one tackle.
Charlotte Independence is 6-3-3, in second place in Group G.

Tanner Dieterich
On loan with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC in USL League One
Dieterich started and play 89 minutes, scoring his first professional goal in a 2-1 win over Richmond Kickers Saturday:
Playing as a right central midfielder in a very lopsided 4-4-2 – with both forwards shading to his side – he completed 21 of 31 passes, and successfully connected on one cross. He also won 2/4 duels and made one tackle.
He scored again in a 2-0 win over Union Omaha this afternoon:
He played 90 minutes as the right midfielder in a similar 4-diamond-2 or lopsided 4-4-2 as the weekend game. Dieterich completed 19/23 passes and won 4/9 duels (1/4 aerial), and was fouled once. He also made two tackles, one clearance, and an interception.
Chattanooga is 5-2-3, and up to second place in USL League One – an important position, given that the top two teams at season’s end will make a two-legged final.
