Welcome to Boys in Not Gold. Wonder what Nashville SC’s players on loan (or on national team duty – or new to the squad) are up to? Here’s your regular recap.
On loan with Charlotte Independence in the USL Championship
Haakenson started and went to the 67th minute (73 minutes on the pitch including first-half stoppage time) as a right midfielder in a 4-1-4-1 in Charlotte’s 2-1 loss to THE Miami FC Sunday. He completed 12/15 passes, and attempted two unsuccessful crosses. He went 0/4 on duels (0/2 aerial) and was caught offside three times(!).
He was subbed out with the game knotted at one goal apiece, and didn’t play a role in the first Miami goal (nor his team’s goal), so he wasn’t particularly responsible for the final scoreline in any direct way.
Charlotte (2-2-3) is in second place in Group G.

On loan with Louisville City FC in the USL Championship.
Lancaster started and was subbed out at halftime (48 minutes) in Louisville City’s 4-1 win over Sporting Kansas City II. He scored a goal and assisted on the eventual game-winner – and his team led 3-1 when he came out of the lineup (presumably a load-management choice for a player who’s had persistent injury in his career).
Aside from his contributions to the scoreline, he took two additional shots (one blocked, one off-target), completed 10/15 passes, and won 5/8 duels (4/5 aerial). He also blocked one shot and was fouled once.
Louisville (4-3-1) is in third place in Group E.

Louisville City FC @ St. Louis FC • Saturday at 7 p.m. CDT
On loan with Chattanooga Red Wolves SC in USL League One
Chattanooga lost to South Georgia Tormenta 2-1. Dieterich came on as a 57th-minute sub at attacking midfielder, playing the final 41 minutes of the contest (during which the Red Wolves gave up a 1-0 lead). Dieterich completed 11 out of 15 passes, took one shot (off-target), lost his only duel and committed one foul.
Chattanooga Red Wolves are now 1-2-2 on the year, sitting ninth place in League One.
Up next: Chattanooga Red Wolves v. New England Revolution II • Saturday at 1:00 p.m. EDT
New signing who previously played for KC Köln II in Germany.
This week, Scott was loaned to USL Championship side Sacramento Republic. Nashville SC reserves a right of recall at any time this season, though the loan is scheduled to last through the remainder of the year. Sacramento has only given up six total goals through nine games (three of them in the second contest of the year).
Scott, a native of Petaluma, Calif., will be just over an hour away from his hometown after having spent three years in Germany (and a couple weeks in Nashville!).
Up next: Sacramento has the weekend off and will return to the pitch Sept. 2.
