The USL Championship has released its game-of-the-week schedule, and Nashville SC will appear twice.

NSC’s May 8 home game against the Tampa Bay Rowdies will air nationally on ESPN2, while the game at Birmingham Legion two weeks later will air on ESPNews. Both are Wednesday contests.
The “this travel-able game is on a Wednesday and also on national TV” seems to further underscore that the league really doesn’t want to encourage Nashville fans to take one of their few reasonable roadtrips on the year, but it is what it is. I would imagine there’ll still be a small but strong contingent in the Magic City May 22.

Nashville’s home matches against Indy Eleven and Tampa Bay Rowdies were on the ESPN family of networks last year. Both resulted in losses, with a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Indy, and a 2-1 loss to Tampa Bay thanks to a late own-goal by NSC defender London Woodberry.
