Following the 2018 NPSL season, there’s a coaching change at Inter Nashville FC.

Yesterday, head coach Rich Askey resigned to become General Manager and Director of Soccer Operations. Today, Alan O’Connor was announced as the team’s new coach. O’Connor has been an assistant each of the two seasons of INFC’s existence.
“I am excited to step into the head coach position,” O’Connor said. “Working with Rich for the last two years has been a great experience and I am appreciative for everything he has instilled in our club on and off the field. We have strong leadership behind our team, and I look forward to leading the team to further success.”
O’Connor’s credentials include playing for Nashville FC – including scoring the first goal in club history – before that club became Nashville SC, and has since transitioned to the USL from its NPSL roots. He has also coached at the high school level with Montgomery Bell Academy and is a staff member at Nashville United Soccer Academy.
