By popular demand, taking the USL East power ratings across the Mississippi. Not going to spend a lot of prose on analysis, since it’s not quite within the scope of the site (unless and until Nashville makes the USL championship game! Future weeks will have both conferences side-by-side). See the methodology here and here.

Week-to-week changes:

Three distinct tiers there: the six top teams (Real should come back to the pack a bit when they have played more than four games in the West), seven more who at this point look like they’ll challenge for the final two playoff positions, and then four teams that are just awful to date. Of course, Reno went from that third group to the second in the course of one game – because it was their first win on the year. This early in the season, and especially with a wide spread of games played (as few as four for Real Monarchs and Las Vegas Lights, to as many as eight for Colorado Springs Switchbacks), there will be quite a bit of noice.
